Tensei featuring Scarlet Monk - Fly Trap

The Chicago-based production crew, Tensei, meaning ‘heaven star’ in Japanese, is comprised of Simple X and Midas Wells. Earlier this month they released a free EP entitled One via LA label Plug Research (Bilal, Quadron, Exile, Sonnymoon). The project showcased Tensei’s unique production style, forfeiting the traditional use of samples and instead, using live musicians to create their tracks.

Today, Tensei are releasing a bonus track from the One EP entitled “Fly Trap” featuring the vocal stylings of Scarlet Monk. Over Tensei’s moody, industrial beat, Monk coo’s “Like A Fly On My Trap / I Want You Stuck On Me / Won’t You Taste A Little Just To See / Come To Me.”

The One EP features 10 tracks for a free download, mostly instrumental, but also features guest vocals from ADAD, Denmark of Crown Nation, Scarlet Monk and others. Although it’s made available as a free download, you can also purchase the EP on iTunes.
