POW WOW Hawai’i 2012 Day #1
You know, living in a house with 30 other dudes (albeit an extremely nice place known as Utopium Estate)wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I was given notice that I had to fly out to paradise and attend Pow Wow Hawaii’s sophomore showing this year. However, with a fistful of grants, all new sponsors, and community fund-raising the event was promising a line-up three times bigger than the inaugural event; assembling an eclectic collective of international artists, media, and creatives with guaranteed 60% extra aloha. 16 hours and 5,000-some-odd air miles later, there I was, nervously shaking hands with the United Nations of street artists; ready for a new adventure and trying to wrap my head around the enormous amount of talent assembled. Pow Wow Hawaii 2012, let’s go.
