While Nikon won’t be releasing the “mini-D4″ camera that a lot of fans were anticipating, the 36.3 megapixel D800 SLR delivers for photographers working in the studio or other controlled environments. Nikon’s D800 has an ISO range of 100 to 6400, 91K RGB 3D color metering, razor quick auto focus, a 3-inch 921k-dot LCD screen, and B-frame data compression allowing for up to thirty minutes of video recording. For those who aren’t too disappointed with Nikon’s release, the camera will be available in March for $3000 USD.
