Nike Sportswear‘s Tennis Classic is beloved by many for its understated and vintage design. As such, the simple silhouette has become the focal point for a number of collaborations and special releases in recent years. Edison Chen, co-founder of CLOT says, “The tennis classic was a shoe I have liked since Nike started doing the NSW line. This shoe fits in with our concept, which is a look back at the shoes and how we interpret them today in 2012.” Chen adds, “Maybe 50 years from now they will still be sought after because of its originality. I hope this becomes a reality and one day it is in a museum all used and torn and worn. We want to give you this futuristic experience now with a touch of Chinese craft and wit.”

Thus, the brand is following in the footsteps of their recently sold-out CLOT x Nike Tennis Classic Suede collaboration with the special edition NIKE CLOT Tennis Classic AC TZ (Museum). Retaining CLOT’s signature red for the accents, also a Chinese symbol of good luck, the metallic silver kicks are hand-buffed to create a one-of-a-kind, vintage look that’s perfectly fit for a museum. An extremely limited Tier Zero release, the NIKE CLOT Tennis Classic AC TZ (Museum) is set to drop on February 22 at JUICE stores and online.
