The Man’s Guide to Buying a Watch: Episode 4 – IWC’s Icons Through the Years

IWC Schaffhausen, manufacturer of some of the finest Swiss timepieces, has produced a short online series of videos in conjunction with HODINKEE titled The Man’s Guide to Buying a Watch. Focusing on mechanical timepieces, the series provides background information on what goes into the production of a mechanical watch as well as what to look for when buying a fine watch. In this latest episode titled “IWC’s Icons Through the Years,” the experts at IWC discuss some of the brand’s most iconic designs and how they continue to influence watch design today. Starting with the classic IWC Mark XI Pilot watch through to the Portuguese Sidérale Scafusia, we’re treated to a look at some of the finest watches to bear the IWC name.
