Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault 2012 Holiday TH Sierra Dune LX

Designer Taka Hayashi‘s relationship with Vans has produced a collection of widely celebrated silhouettes, most of which stand defiant in the canon of Vans’ other models. Hayashi brings his sense of originality to Vans Vault once again for a 2012 holiday silhouette, this time with the TH Sierra Dune LX. The shoe references an earlier design from this year, the Sierra Trek, yet has been reinforced with sharp lines around the side, and raised around the ankle to offer maximum protection from the elements. The Sierra Dune is also detailed above the ankle, reminiscent of Fair Isle patterning. With the same ridged sole of the Sierra Trek, the Sierra Dune LX is a full-grain leather boot constructed for adventure. The boot comes in three distinct colors: black, brown, and two-tone tan and grey. Look for the TH Sierra Dune LX collection at select Vans Vault retailers soon.
