Pictured here is the special Bernar Venet edition of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. Ensuring that each and every Veyron is unique, The Molsheim-based firm brought in renowned French sculptor Bernar Venet to honor that commitment. This edition features a sharp red-to-black gradient that incorporates Venet’s passion for mathematical equations and scientific treatises. Not only does the color transition feature on the body of the car, it also appears in the matching spokes of the front wheels and spills into the interior, ending at the edges of the brown-toned panels and upholstery.
Of his work of art, Venet added: “My works are usually self-referential. So I found the idea of translating the equations of the Bugatti engineers onto the bodywork of the car very appealing. It was, so to speak, a logical conclusion and a new challenge in terms of the specific form of collaboration and implementation. To me, the result is also exceptional when measured by artistic standards and bestows the object with a mythical character.”
This one-of-a-kind Veyron Grand Sport will be available for viewing at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami during the Art Basel Miami Beach from December 6th to the 9th.
