The Man’s Guide to Buying a Watch: Episode 2 – What is a Complication?

IWC Schaffhausen, manufacturer of some of the finest Swiss timepieces, has produced a short online series of videos titled The Man’s Guide to Buying a Watch. Focusing on mechanical timepieces, the series provides background information on what goes into the production of a mechanical watch as well as what to look for when buying a fine watch. In this latest episode titled “What is a Complication” and produced by HODINKEE the master watchmakers at IWC discuss the various complications that make their way into IWC watches. Starting with a relatively simple chronograph complication, the video then goes on to discuss minute repeater, perpetual calendar and tourbillon complications.
