TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloIst. 2013 Spring/Summer Lookbook

When Number(Nine) — Takahiro Miyashita‘s cult-status label — suddenly folded following the Fall/Winter 2009 season, fans of the designer’s beloved avant-garde menswear were left out in the cold. Then, the next year, Miyashita reemerged with TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloIst., a unisex range of slightly more subdued and wearable garments – pieces that the designer would want in his own wardrobe. This intensely personal aspect of the label is apparent in the TheSoloIst.’s collection for Spring/Summer 2013, following a spectacular showing for fall/winter — classic pieces highlighted by slim, contemporary cuts and a recurring theme of gingham checks. Tees, woven shirts, zip-up cardigans and lightweight outerwear all feature in the new offerings, layered and paired with an assortment of edgy, alternative accessories. Look for more information on release dates and stockists as the new year approaches.
