To read an issue of Real Deal Comix is to immerse oneself in a world of “urban terror,” in which everyday situations — using a public washroom, buying groceries, washing one’s car — almost always results in a bloody massacre or painful, violent death. Full of hate, rage and savagery, the magazine was founded by Lawrence Hubbard and H.P. McElwee — known as Raw Dawg and R.D. Bone, respectively — and published only six issues since its inception in 1989. Despite this fact, Real Deal has maintained its cult status and Stussy recently enlisted the talents and iconic characters of Hubbard for a capsule collection displaying the crudely-drawn, extremely violent and hysterically funny qualities of the original mag.
Consisting of Real Deal graphic prints on black and white tees, the entire collection is available now at our online store.
