EQUIPMENT HOMME 2012 Fall/Winter Lookbook

EQUIPMENT was originally founded in 1975 as a unisex brand, introducing men’s shirts into women’s wardrobes. Its silk shirts caught on with celebrities in the late ’80s — Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger all counted themselves as fans — and the label quickly skyrocketed to international success. With the label’s recent relaunch under CEO and Creative Director Serge Azria, EQUIPMENT HOMME draws upon the French brand’s decades of garment-making heritage for an all-new collection this Fall/Winter season. Focusing on the classic, minimalist aesthetic that has served EQUIPMENT so well, along with a distinctly French sophistication and ease, the label has introduced a line of knitwear comprised of three silhouettes — a v-neck, cardigan and crewneck all constructed in 100% cashmere. In bold colors, stripes and color blocked iterations, the sweaters are intended to be worn layered over shirts or as stand-alone pieces and are a natural step in EQUIPMENT’s modern day evolution. The EQUIPMENT HOMME Fall/Winter 2012 collection is available for purchase now at the label’s website.
