To commemorate today’s launch of vendor’s – a Japan-based retailer – newly constructed webshop dubbed COVERCHORD, we’re offered a glimpse into the shop’s inaugural lookbook with exclusive items coming from nonnative. Starting off with a military-grade chronograph inspired by the same timepiece worn by soldiers in the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense in the 1980s, nonnative aligns with longstanding watchmaker Seiko. This rugged yet sophisticated watch boasts a stainless steel finish, matte black face and canvas band. Advancing to nonnative’s joint effort with New Balance, the two present the CM997 “DUNE” – a model previously released around the same time last year. With a taupe upper that embodies the Moroccan dessert, this model adds a splash of “Persian Blue” to the midsole matching a mirage-like desert oasis. Lastly, COVERCHORD will retail a pair of Easy Pants made with stretch cotton from outdoor brand GRAMICCI as well as nonnative’s Road Sign T-shirt from its 2012 fall/winter range. COVERCHORD will open its web doors later today.
