Visvim boasts a brand new work boot as sturdy as the model name sounds. The POUNDMAKER is a boot that was made to withstand the test of time and excessive wear — with its thick Italian vegetable-tanned cowhide upper, strong Goodyear welt construction and reproduced 17th century velvet collar trim. Inspired by footwear worn during the age of toiling and field work, the POUNDMAKER boot also incorporates visvim’s staple TPU heel stabilizer and bamboo shank, but sees further reinforcement in the form of a hand-stitched outsole with knotted ends — a process that requires six hours per outsole. Retailing for ¥88,000 JPY (approximately $1123 USD), the POUNDMAKER boot is sold exclusively at F.I.L. locations.
