In an unprecedented move, Google has allowed a journalist and photographer access to the company’s previously secret data centers. Photographed for Google’s new website, Where The Internet Lives, the pictures capture the colorful complexities of Google’s high-tech data centers. An unseen part of Google’s operations, the data centers process search requests as well as the numerous other features available from the company — including Google’s new Street View tour of the North Carolina data center. The photos represent the eight data centers Google currently operates in the United States, Belgium and Finland.
