Nike Sportswear’s Air Force 1 Homage to the US President’s Private Jet

With the name Air Force 1, it was only logical that Nike pay homage to the presidential aircraft of the same name with the special Air Force 1 Presidential Edition. Following weeks of previews and teasers, we can now give you a proper look at the shoe courtesy of Nike. Crafted from premium leather, the shoe features a two-tone leather ankle strap, a U.S. flag patch, reflective detailing, and dimples inspired by the rivets on the plane. Taking the concept further, the upper’s surface lies flat in a nod to the smooth fuselage of the presidents Boeing VC-25. The shoe’s midsole incorporates the matte light blue and gold coloring seen on the plane. The shoe is set to launch globally this month in limited quantities.
