As we gear up for one of the more highly-anticipated NBA seasons in recent memory, Nike drops off official details for the Nike LeBron X. Inspired by the creation and beauty of a diamond, the metaphoric comparisons run parallel to James’s career – being that in crunch time and during extreme pressure, each manages to diversify and flourish. Each colorway of the LeBron X has a unique story. The blue diamond colorway is symbolic of the blue tint diamonds gain from interaction with electricity – which can be paralleled to James’s electric style of play. The cutting jade colorway is inspired by the Chinese art of cutting jade using diamonds, while the black colorway serves a fierce tool for tough battles on the road. In terms of specs, the upper utilizes Hyperfuse construction and Flyknit technology – with diamond-inspired detailing, full-length, visible Nike Zoom unit, and a modified herringbone pattern that enhances multi-directional traction. In addition to the photos, check out the video down below which finds King James himself discussing the philosophy behind the individual colorways.
