MANASTASH 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

Oct 17, 2012  /  Style  /  3853 Views

MANASTASH was established in 1993 in Seattle, embodying the Pacific Northwest’s distinctive outdoors aesthetic. The label was named for the Manastash Highlands — located near the Cascade Range — where sports such as skiing, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking are common, and was most notable for its use of functional, sustainable materials on technical silhouettes. Under new Japanese ownership, the brand has since evolved into a nice blend of function and style, garments ideal for “the free-wheeling lifestyle.” MANASTASH’s collection for Fall/Winter 2012 retains its classic silhouettes and fabrics while imbuing the clothing with spectacular color blocking, patterns and updated fits. Among the standouts are fleece jackets and vests, along with down parkas that make use of unconventional color palettes — pinks, purples and brighter greens — infusing the staid genre of outdoors sportwear with strong graphic punches. Look for the Fall/Winter 2012 collection at selected stockists and the seasonal catalog at MANASTASH‘s website.
