La Muna House by Oppenheim Architecture + Design

Located in Aspen, Colorado, Oppenheim Architecture + Design present a complete renovation and minor addition to one of the first homes built in the ultra-exclusive enclave of Red Mountain. Dubbed “La Muna,” the rustic ski chalet features regional wood, stone and steel construction – all materials that merge effortlessly with its idyllic surroundings of forest, stream and mountain. In addition to the stylish build, the firm has outfitted the home with solar collectors which provide needed energy for power and hot water – while extremely large operable panels of insulated glass blur the boundaries between inside and out.
