The powerhouse that is Jay-Z has been monopolizing headlines — both fashion, music and sports-centered media — as of late due to the recent unveiling of the Barclays Center. What will serve as the new NBA Brooklyn Nets home, Barclays Center is receiving a solid opening string of eight Jay-Z sold-out shows. Mr. Carter took the stage in a now highly discussed custom “Carter” jersey as well as a Nets hat on. In addition to the new sports garb, GQ has taken note of an all-black-everything Calvin Klein Alligator Hoodie that HOV was wearing during the Barclays Center opening. Fresh off the long-running Givenchy-laden Watch the Throne tour, it seems that Jay’s taking that threat to wear black for a year straight to heart yet again.
