When Ferrucio Lamborghini first set about creating a new car company, he wanted to create a worthy competitor to the prancing horses of Ferrari. Inspired by the Miura bulls of a friend, he adopted the moniker for his breakout car model the Lamborghini Miura. Fast forward to today and Lamborghini continues to name its vehicles after legendary bulls and the instruments involved in bullfighting. The company’s latest model the Aventador takes its name from a famous fighting bull that met its match in the ring in 1993. In the latest episode of Motor Trend‘s Epic Drives, Frank Marcus drives the supercar from Italy to Spain so that the Aventador can once again mix it up in the bullfighting ring where its namesake put up its last fight.
