Valentino 2012 Fall Collection

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli’s challenge was to try and infuse couture into the traditions of menswear with their Valentino Fall 2012 Collection. Pitti Uomo in Florence was the stage for their offerings which was an extended celebration of sorts, as it was the 50th anniversary of Valentino staging his first fashion show in the very same city. The catwalk was home to finely tailored jackets, narrow trousers cropped over sockless shoes and sharp white shirts joined by skinny black ties. One perusal at the collection will reveal that Valentino’s attention to detail is second to none.
