Named after the Sonoran Desert cactus, the Saguaro Palm Springs is a lively tip of the sombrero to its arid backdrop. Infused with every color of desert wildflower known to the Mojave, the 249-room property resides cozily among palm trees in the Coachella Valley. Architects Peter Stamberg and Peter Aferiat from NYC-based Stamberg Aferiat Architecture are responsible for this remarkable oasis of color, and its thematic spectrum resounds through the entire project, delightfully evident in pink rooms and purple patios, lime green balconies and rainbow-striped sheets. James Beard Award-winner and Iron Chef Jose Garces is credited for the hotel’s two new restaurants Tinto and El Jefe, and Joie de Vivre oversees operations.
