MUNSOO KWON 2012 Fall/Winter Lookbook

After working under the tutelage of noted designers Robert Geller, Helmut Lang, Thom Browne and Andrew Buckler, designer MUNSOO KWON focuses on building his namesake line with the launch of his very first collection for Fall/Winter 2012. The promising designer attempts to create a mark with his carefully executed garments that are characterized by modern cuts and distinct styling. Eschewing any visible branding to represent his line, KWON however wanted to be remembered through his signature split-open details that are applied on the rear side or pocket portion. This diverse collection showcases numerous contemporary designs that project a cross between formal simplicity and quirk style. Anchored by asymmetric jackets and draped ponchos, some extensive shirts, drop-crotch trousers, houndstooth-patterned pullovers, military parkas and utilitarian outer coat sum up the line.
