Essentials: Nicolas Ivars

Owner of French boutique TheNextDoor, Nicolas Ivars has been developing the French fashion scene since the inception of his first shop, Circle, back in 1999 tailored to young skaters. Now retailing finer brands like A.P.C., Junya Watanabe COMME des GARCONS MAN and Nike Sportswear to name but a few, TheNextDoor, which used to be an old English tea and natural pharmacy shop, now features four rooms separated by doors expressing the idea that you always need to dig deeper to uncover the beauties of fashion. The 39-year-old enterprising shop owner recently sat down to continue the Essentials series with HYPEBEAST. A modest grouping of items anyone can respect, Ivars showcases his daily must-haves including his MacBook Pro, Canon G12, A.P.C. Woven Leather Belt, and a pair of Grenson for TheNextDoor “Fred Vibram” Boots that were featured here a few months back.
