FACETASM‘s 2012 fall/winter collection was an innovative blend of patterns, fabrics and proportions, lending the genre of streetwear a decidedly high fashion bent. A protege of both UNDERCOVER and COMME des GARCONS, Hiromichi Ochiai designs his garments with dreams “about the future,” yet simultaneously steeps his collections in tradition. The new offerings are inspired by the “things that surround us and live inside us,” in this case translating to layered looks showcasing leopard prints, tartans and shearling, while traditional materials and patterns like herringbone are imbued with fresh cuts and silhouettes. In an array of big tees, sweaters, outerwear and woven shirts, FACETASM offers a textural and stylistic feast for the senses. Selected pieces from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection will be hitting our online store today and tomorrow.
