Rich Holland Creates the World's First Large-Scale Skatable Sculpture

The Kiasma Museum of Modern Art in Finland was home to what is being called the “world’s first large-scale skatable sculpture” – perpetrated by artist Rich Holland. Flowing lines give birth to rising crests, creating both an athletic and artistic playground. Officially dubbed Skateable Sculpture, the idea was born out of the notion that public space can or cannot be owned. Holland’s execution seems to argue that large scale works are going to inevitably be physically appreciated.
