Phillip Lim Awarded 2012 CFDA Swarovski Award in Menswear

Announced at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York this past Monday, high-fashion designer Phillip Lim won the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Menswear for his 3.1 Phillip Lim namesake line, after receiving the same award for womenswear back in 2007. The Cambodian-born couturier launched his first collection back in 2005 to nearly instant success. The growth would quickly lead to the development of a men’s line in 2007. Lim has the rare ability to combine casual street sensibilities with luxury fabrics, chic designs, and an unexpected elegance. Now sold in over 55 countries and 400 boutiques including a brick and mortar in Hong Kong, Lim is expected to showcase his Spring 2013 men’s collection on June 28 in Paris. Congrats, Phillip.
