The MapleXO x Grove SkateBack iPhone cases utilize the unused waste from skateboard factories to create a stylish shell for the iPhone 4 and 4S. This is not the first such endeavor for MapleXO, as founder Lindsay Holmes has in the past used similar means to create jewelry and other accessories. The cases are crafted in Portland, Oregon via new technology and are given handmade finishing touches. Available in three iterations, The MapleXO x Grove Skateback cases are for sale now on Grove’s online shop for $49 USD.
Starting at $599, the cheapest model from the iPhone 16 family packs a powerful punch with Apple Intelligence and a new button allowing users to easily access a variety of functions.
It’s quite possible that you are familiar with the Quintin Co. brand without even knowing it. Founded in 2009, the Los Angeles-based headwear manufacturer has experienced rapid growth in its three year existence having firmly solidified both its own in-house brand while simultaneously playing headwear tailor and manufacturer to a wide range of the industry’s most well-respected and recognized streetwear giants. Amidst the inundation of snapback hats these days, QuintinCo. has always managed to separate itself from the pack by keeping a close focus on not only the final aesthetics of each of its products, but also paying strict attention to the details during each step within the creative progression. For our latest PROCESS feature, Quintin Co. invited our Senior Editor Luis Ruano for a visit to the factory in which the production takes place, to hand select the textiles, colors and individual elements for a special make-up custom hat. For the feature, the team mints a custom all-black-everything 6-panel snapback hat, featuring a melton wool crown, cordura visor, croc leather top panel and suede under visor, capped off by an orange plastic clasp offering just enough contrast.
