Preceding the launch of his highly anticipated eponymous fashion line, Aitor Throup opens the door
Preceding the launch of his highly anticipated eponymous fashion line, Aitor Throup opens the door to his London studio granting Crane.tv an exclusive interview. Growing up in Argentina as an imaginative illustrator, Throup began experimenting with clothing in his drawings, landing him at the Manchester Metropolitan University for fashion design and later the prestigious Royal College of Art for his MA in menswear. This in turn lead to gigs at various fashion labels, including C.P. Company and Stone Island, although the turning point in his career came when he worked with Umbro to create both the home and away kits worn by the English team at the 2010 World Cup. With the focus now on his namesake label, Throup sits down to discuss his personal highlights, revolutionary approach to design, and timeless creations.
