There has been no shortage of emotion in the recent outpouring of love and support as Beastie Boys fans, and the industry alike has mourned the passing of Adam “MCA” Yauch. The latest tribute comes in the form of a music video homage created by videographer James Winters. In it, Winters gets his wife, children, and an extra neighbor to each fill the roles for the famous Beastie Boys “Sabotage” video that nearly swept the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards. While the video is nearly every bit as amusing as the Spike Jonze-directed original, Winters’ clever rendition is also a touching summation to the legions of fans, and the legacy of music that Yauch left behind.
