Steven Harrington x ACE Hotel Palm Springs x Generic Surplus 2012 Footwear Capsule Collection

Previewed a couple weeks back, today we present detailed images of the forthcoming footwear installment from the 2012 capsule collection between Steven Harrington, ACE Hotel Palm Springs and Generic Surplus. Having worked together in the past, Generic Surplus and ACE Hotel Palm Springs realign to offer an imaginative take on the Borstal shoe through the eyes of artist Steven Harrington. Each shoe draws inspiration from the unique Palm Springs landscape, including the desert that surrounds the hotel, cool blues of its pools, and astonishing snow-capped mountains visible in the distance. Advancing the collection with the cotton-weaved patterned, Rattan, and the addition of Harrington’s artwork on the insole and shoe box, this forthcoming capsule offers an original and easy-to-wear shoe that is perfect for a poolside party or a stroll in the desert sand. The collection features a range of footwear, tees, tanks and towels. The assortment will go on sale during the Coachella music festival where Generic Surplus plans to mob through the hotel to host a poolside pop-up shop during both weekends.
