Peace Bridge by Santiago Calatrava

Following numerous setbacks and criticisms along the way, Calgary, Alberta, Canada recently celebrated the official opening of the Peace Bridge this past weekend. Connecting pedestrians and cyclists across the Bow River, the project was constructed under the direction of Santiago Calatrava and has drawn some significant controversy throughout its duration due to quality impediments and complaints from locals as to the heavy cost of the bridge upon taxpayers. The bright red helix is now officially open for use affording Calgarians easy access across the Bow River.
