In past seasons, Tim Hamilton’s namesake line served as the medium for him to reissue and re-imagine some of his successful archival designs with a contemporary edge and somewhat less expensive price tags. Having recently been presented on a separate occasion to give a strong emphasis to this rather growing alternative subline, the Redux line is revealed with the preview of its Fall/Winter 2012 lineup at the ongoing New York Fashion Week. Recurring muted palettes have become an essential element within the American designer’s lineup, but this latest showing represents Hamilton’s venturing into bold aesthetics that generate an intriguing color block design and pleasing contrast accents. Featuring minimalist construction and tailored fits, the collection provides an impressive selection of structured outerwear pieces, comfortable pullovers, reworked long johns and tailored trousers.
