The flagship Cyber-shot family of point-and-shoot cameras from Sony has long since been synonymous with digital camera innovation. Continuing that innovation into 2012, Sony unveils the DSC-TX200V, a new model in Sony’s venerable Cyber-shot line. The camera gets a trickle-down user interface from Sony’s NEX range, in addition to an upgraded Exmor R CMOS sensor and an improved BIONZ image processor, which boost low light performance and enhanced auto-focus speeds. The TX200V receives a drastic facelift via a rugged and slimmed-down recreation. Waterproof down to 16 feet, the TX200V offers more robust dust protection, and freeze-proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition to its impressive 3.3-inch OLED screen it boasts a 5x optical zoom and 1080p/60 HD video capabilities.

It’s waterproof so it has a specific purpose.  I have an older model TX5 and it’s been awesome.  I’ve used it everywhere from snowboarding in cold temps to snorkeling.. even pool parties in Vegas. lol.
