Harborview Hills is a residential project located in the Corona Del Mar area of Newport Beach, California, just minutes away from the beach. A solid wall and heavy walnut panes conceal coastal views of the beach from passers-by, while liberating glass panels and white brick walls perpetuate a sunny interior for its inhabitants. The exterior theme of striation extends to the design of the interior walls and throughout the house, creating a sense of harmonious stability with various material creating an overlapping complexity. An outdoor living room completes the boxy architecture by framing the private pool with seats for that perfect sunrise or sunset.
