Balmain 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

Filling the shoes of a previously successful designer is never an easy task. For Balmain, having Christophe Decarnin at the reins vastly improved and invigorated the French label who saw a transition at the hands of Olivier Rousteing. Entering his sophomore showing for Balmain, military garb inspired by Russian Imperial Army uniforms yielded some smartly tailored pieces that was set alongside some of Balmain’s more signature pieces, including of course the leather division.
