Every season NEIGHBORHOOD produces a premium pair of denim as part of its Savage series. Each model features unique distressing and modifications making them some of the most sought after items of the collection. For the Fall/Winter 2011 “GIMME SHELTER” season, head designer Shinsuke Takizawa created the Beaded Savage. With a high quality 14oz selvage denim at its base, the Beaded Savage has blue and red white-heart beads placed around the left hand pocket opening alongside original 925 silver conchos. The legs have specially treated denim patches sewn in, creating a rough-looking hand repaired effect. These patches will actually fade and wear differently depending on how much they are worn and washed, creating an individual look to each pair. Small amounts of damage and stitch work have been applied sparingly around the rest of the jeans. The NEIGHBORHOOD Beaded Savage are available in black or indigo and come in narrow, mid and basic cuts. They can be purchased now from all NEIGHBORHOOD stockists, retailing at ¥52,500 JPY (approximately $690 USD).
