Devoted solely to contemporary art, MOCA proudly presents an exhibition in tribute to legendary post-war painting master Cy Twombly whose art has played an important role in the development of contemporary art. Twombly has always been fascinated towards abstraction, symbols, codes and hand gestures. Adding to this, Twombly’s unique approach with chalk, pencil and crayon resulted in paintings that brought him from an art student into stardom status in the contemporary art world. Viewers of the exhibition will be a witness to the late artist’s highly personal visual style. The exhibition runs through October 2, 2011.
