Kim Jones x Bean Pole 2011 Fall/Winter Collection

Bean Pole, South Korea’s largest clothing brand (founded in 1989), has collaborated for the second time with designer Kim Jones for Fall/Winter 2011. Available in the United States for the first time exclusively at Opening Ceremony, the menswear collection includes a full line of shirting, pants, knits and outerwear. Combining youthful proportions with a traditional color palette was important to the designer in order to appeal to both the traditional Bean Pole customer and yet a more fashionably-led consumer. The graphics were inspired by one of Jones’ favorite artists, Ed Ruscha, and the prints include some of his favorite species, such as the raccoon dog.
