Vice and BlackBerry’s Visionaries series has showcased some of fashion’s most forward-looking
Vice and BlackBerry’s Visionaries series has showcased some of fashion’s most forward-looking influencers from goth-chic designer Gareth Pugh to celebrated blogger Diane Pernet. Latest from the collaborative franchise comes this piece on SHOWstudio founder and world-renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight. Known for his energetic and ebullient high-concept campaigns for the likes of Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto and Yves Saint Laurent, Knight is also well-versed in photographing darker subjects. His first book, entitled Skinhead, explores the visual history of the much-feared neo-Nazi subculture and his film-oriented SHOWstudio.com has featured a great deal of cutting-edge work. Talking about his inspirations and offering some interesting insights in this short video, Knight also highlights collaborator Alex Fury as an up-and-coming voice worth listening to in the often cacophonous world of fashion.
