The Free Run+ 2 has become a shoe of choice for urban joggers and marathon runners alike due to its comfort and attractive design, so it’s no surprise that London-based Run Dem Crew received customized pairs of the kicks in order to commemorate the success of the members of the group who ran the London marathon. More of social running club than an official “group,” Run Dem Crew was created out of founder Charlie Dark’s desire to lose some extra pounds. Divided into four sections: Tortoises, Hares, Greyhounds and Cheetahs, Run Dem Crew has room for everyone and anyone. Using the crew’s unofficial colors of red, black and yellow, Nike’s custom iD Run+ 2s also feature “RDC” on one tongue and the successful runner’s finishing time on the other. For those interested in Run Dem Crew, you can sign up at their website to join the weekly runs, commencing at 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Nike 1948.
