Dutch artist Parra is famous, and perhaps even notorious, for his risqué illustrations and sculptures exploring some of the darker aspects of modern life including drug use, alcoholism and prostitution through colorful and ironic artwork. Teaming up with creative agency Toykyo Studio, Parra has previously released two colorways of his 15 x 20cm porcelain figurine entitled “Take a Rest.” Now the final and most exclusive piece in the series has been released. Limited to a run of only 20, the ultimate “Take a Rest” sculpture is perhaps the most versatile and elegant in all-black. Sure to be a collectors item, the piece portrays one of Parra’s most typical bird-like characters interacting with two pairs of high-heels. Take a rest!
