After a hiatus of over two decades, legendary German auto manufacturer BMW will return to the DTM racing scene…and in style nonetheless. For a historically German race comes an ominously styled concept M3, proclaimed to be very similar to, but not an exact version of, the actual car to be used in the competition next season. Styled in tonal matte black paint, this fierce-looking Bimmer is powered by a 480-horsepower, 4.0-liter V8 engine and features a six-speed sequential gearbox. Capable of pouncing to 62 mph in 3 seconds, the stealthy M3 can continue on to reach a max speed of 186 mph. Although concept cars and race cars alike tend to be outlandish or exceptionally flashy in design, the BMW M3 DTM Concept is an excellent example of how restrained, elegant styling can still end up producing a mean-looking, race-ready end result.
