KAWS Companion (Passing Through) @ The Standard New York Announcement

The Standard New York brings Companion (Passing Through), a touring work by international artist KAWS, to New York’s Meatpacking District. The artist’s largest public art installation to date, Companion (Passing Through) will be on display in The Standard’s front plaza from June 8 through October 2011. Companion (Passing Through) is the latest collaboration between KAWS and The Standard. The artist’s subversive body of work, which has permeated every channel of today’s communication, blurs the boundaries between the seemingly disparate disciplines of street art, commercial images and products, and pop art.
