FACETASM 2011 Fall/Winter Collection

FACETASM founder Hiromichi Ochiai graduated from the Bunka Fashion College in 1999 and has worked at textile manufacturers, COMME des GARCONS, Zucca and UNDERCOVER since then. So, it’s not a surprise that when he launched his own label in spring 2007, it was distinctly Japanese and avant-garde. The latest FACETASM collection for Fall/Winter 2011 is characterized primarily by layering, whether it be knit hoodies under vests, printed sweaters under slouchy, military-influenced parkas or graphic wraps and toggle-coats over cropped skinny jeans. Although the looks offered here certainly are not for everybody, the individual pieces can all be mixed and matched with more basic garments for a less-dramatic effect.
