Highly regarded for helping to inject art and graphics into fashion at the start of the 2000s, P.A.M. has always inhabited the intersection of art, music and fashion. Having collaborated with everyone from Jun Takahashi of UNDERCOVER and German design masters BLESS, to artists and creators like James Murphy, Peter Sutherland and Joseph Szabo, the Australian label best known for its fashion apparel and accessories has just opened its first store in Sydney. In addition to stocking its own namesake collection (including books and editioned artwork), the flagship will also stock other international contemporary labels like the Danish brands Wood Wood and Norse Projects, Parisian favorite Kitsuné, Japanese lifestyle label Cosmic Wonder, the French-German duo BLESS, and London accessory maestro Ally Capellino. P.A.M has also called on contacts in London, Tokyo and Milan to source product for a new, curated concept called “The Chosen One” (set to open within the Sydney store sometime later this year) that will consist of second-hand items from across the globe.
