Menno van Meurs is the 30-year-old co-owner of Amsterdam’s finest denim store, Tenue de Nîmes, as well as the local Red Wing Shoe store in his stomping grounds. On a daily basis van Meurs contributes to the fashion zeitgeist through the Tenue de Nîmes weblog as well as his magazine, Journal de Nîmes. The denim aficionado sat down with Hypebeast to share some of the things he holds dearest to his heart in this iteration of ‘Hypebeast Essentials.’ Amongst his favorites is a pair of 1960s Levis 505′s, Red Wing Shoes 2940 Classic Round Oro Russet Boot, and a variety of items to keep him connected and his thoughts trained and focused.

I think he meant it’s boring in the sense that it’s pretty damn unoriginal. This guy basically copied the standard uniform for a fashion-forward man in his 20′s. Redwings, rolex, denim, some rustic leather product….
this man looks like he was dressed by the internet

Cut the guy some slack!  He’s a 30 year old business owner/entrepreneur not an 18 year old nike/bape dickrider.
