In a world of priorities, expensive dining takes a backseat to microwaved meals. The difficult part is not finding cheap eats, but finding the ones that actually excite your palette. Hilariously outspoken New York chef Eddie Huang looks to help his followers, and their pockets, with his soon to air hour-long television series Cheap Bites on the Cooking Channel. Traveling around the United States in search of affordable yet indulging food, Eddie will document his favorite locations – from free pizza in New York to doughnuts that only cost a quarter in Memphis. The pilot will air on January 1 at 8 p.m. EST and as he mentioned on his blog, “tune in, tivo, tell your friends, nurse your hangover, and watch Chinese people NOT do gymnastics on T.V.”
