Part of Yigal Azrouël’s collection for Fall/Winter 2011 is this selection of understated outerwear, which takes shape with the concept of joining together illusion layering and practical elements. These distinct pieces signify Azrouël’s ability to match precise tailoring with innovation as seen on the updated biker, boiled wool and contemporary colorblock jackets. Made of distressed textured leather, the updated biker employs heavy hardware details with a shearling collar and signature top stitching, while the draped hooded jacket is made of interwined boiled wool which features rib detailing on sleeves and triple utilitarian pockets on chest. Finally, the colorblock jacket is actualized with a snug and shrunken silhouette and is made of warm materials with tonal palettes, which contributes a textural dimension to the aesthetic. These jackets are now available through yigal-azrouel.com.
