F.I.L. SENDAI Renewal

Earlier in 2011, one of the largest earthquakes in recorded history struck parts of Japan including the city of Sendai. Following the reconstruction of the city, visvim founder Hiroki Nakamura was forced to rebuild the F.I.L. SENDAI location, which had been significantly affected by the earthquake. Redesigned with unique materials to include floorboards from a 70-year-old church and furniture that was made 100 years ago, the shop visually depicts the notion that visvim has stood the test of time by incorporating an antique aesthetic following a modern disaster.
